Dear Parishioner
Over the Christmas period we discovered deficiencies in the Church lighting systems.
Since then we have applied for permission to add lighting to the Church Sanctuary and have lighting directed on the Altar, Ambo, Presidential Chair and Tabernacle.
We have also looked at changing some of the lighting to LED which is much more energy efficient and longer lasting.
Having brought the matter to the parish finance committee for consideration we spoke with the Diocesan Offices at Lisbreen and we have appointed an electrical consultant from their procurement list who will look after the design and manage the tender process on behalf of the parish.
The additional lighting will be in place sometime after Easter and hopefully before Pentecost.
