The NI Healthcare Chaplains’ Association (NIHCA) will be offering a 10 week Hospital Visitors’ course at Edgehill College, Belfast, on Thursday evenings beginning Thursday 22 September 2011. The course fee will be £60 per person.
Topics covered include – Reasons for hospital visitation; Models of Pastoral Care; Communication; Empathy and Silence, Grief and Loss, Personal & pastoral reflections, Thinking reflectively; Death and Dying; Theology and practice, ethical dilemmas; Spiritual Healthcare, Spiritual Pain and Where is God when it hurts?
There is also opportunity to spend some time visiting with a hospital chaplain.
