Dr Patrick Ryan, Director of the Doctoral programme in Clinical Psychology at Limerick University and author of ‘You can’t make me (How to get the best out of your teenager)’, will host a workshop at St Oliver Plunkett Parish Hall in Lenadoon on Sunday, March 6 at 7.00pm.
The workshop has been sponsored by Belfast City Council’s Good Relations Branch. The visit coincides with Temperance Sunday and aims to give parents practical tools to support their teenage children in facing some of today’s problems.
In his workshop Dr Ryan will deal with a range of issues including suicide prevention, how to recognize the warning signs of alcohol and drug abuse as well as offering ways to help parents work constructively with their teenagers.
