Volunteers Needed & Offertory Envelopes

Dear Parishioner

Given the continued difficulties of the COVID 19 pandemic on the lives of some many people and families as well as the difficulties and constrains in the unlocking of our Church and our sacramental ministry I would like to thank the many volunteers who have enabled us to open the Church for Private Prayer and for Public Mass, limited as this is.  Volunteers also assist with the ability to ensure that weddings, funerals, baptisms and the administration of other sacraments continue to be celebrated.

We are always in need of volunteers to assist in the Liturgical life and ministry of the Parish and I would appeal to the generosity and good will of all parishioners to offer some time in helping us open more fully to the needs of the worshiping community.  All of our original volunteers have given months of service and some have had to return to work and the rhythm of daily life, leaving us with the need to appeal for more help even if only twice a month.

If you are willing and able to help please contact the Parish Office by telephone or by email.

On another matter, we have large number of Parish Offertory Envelopes, used for Parish Collections, left uncollected.  If you would like these delivered to your home please email the Parish Office at otherwise we will begin the process of destroying them.

Given the uncertainty of the use of envelopes and the fact that collections are not permitted to be taken up in church during the pandemic, we intend to order a reduced number of boxes of envelopes for the year 2021/22.

This will by implication have a detrimental effect on our annual Gift Aid claim from HMRC
